Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a general term for  heart and blood vessel disease, which includes coronary heart disease (disease  of the blood vessels supplying the heart muscle), cerebrovascular disease  (disease of the blood vessels supplying the brain), peripheral arterial  vascular disease (disease of the blood vessels supplying the arms and legs), rheumatic  heart disease (damage to the heart muscle and heart valves from rheumatic fever  caused by streptococci), congenital heart disease (structural malformations of  the heart present at birth), deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism (blood  clots in the veins of the legs, which can dislodge and move to the heart and  lungs), etc.

Cardiovascular diseases

Most CVDs are caused by behaviors such as smoking,  unhealthy diet and obesity, lack of physical activity, and harmful use of  alcohol. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), cardiovascular  disease is the number one cause of death worldwide, and the number of deaths  from it is increasing every year.

In addition to surgical procedures, there are various  types and combinations of drugs used to treat cardiovascular disease, and Creative  BioMart has been focusing on the use of recombinant therapeutic proteins in  cardiovascular disease, including as targets for the development of therapeutic  drugs for cardiovascular disease.

Therapeutic proteins in cardiovascular disease

Thrombopoietin (TPO) is a humoral growth factor that  does not induce platelet aggregation per se, but triggers platelet activation  in response to several agonists. Experimentally, researchers have demonstrated  that TPO may enhance platelet activation in the early stages of unstable angina  (UA) and may be involved in the pathogenesis of acute coronary syndromes.

This is an exciting study, and studies such as this one  are not uncommon to report, so Creative BioMart offers researchers a recombinant human TPO to help you better investigate the  relevance of TPO to acute coronary syndromes. Of course, this is just one aspect of  our diverse therapeutic protein portfolio, and we have a large number of  therapeutic proteins that can be used in cardiovascular disease research.

Because of the many years of research that have  demonstrated the relevance of therapeutic proteins to cardiovascular disease, Creative  BioMart is committed to providing researchers in this field with a diverse  range of high-quality therapeutic protein products from a variety of sources  and types. We believe that our therapeutic proteins can assist you in your  research, whether it is in the development of drug targets or the investigation  of pathogenesis. If you do not find the product you are looking for in this  list, you can submit your request to our staff  and we will be available 24/7 to answer your questions or assist you in  purchasing the therapeutic protein product you are looking for.
