Cat# : THP-0541
| Cat#: | THP-0541 |
| Product Name: | Recombinant RSV Prefusion F-trimer Protein (strain A2) |
| Description: | Recombinant RSV (strain A2) Prefusion F-trimer Protein is produced by a Mammalian expression system. The target gene encoding Gln26-Leu513 is expressed with a C-terminal 6His tag. Mutations and furin cleavage site substitutions are introduced to stabilize the trimeric prefusion conformation and prevent cleavage. |
| Molecular Weight: | 56.1 kDa |
| Introduction: | Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a significant respiratory pathogen. The Fusion (F) glycoprotein is a key vaccine antigen. It functions by refolding from a metastable prefusion state to a stable postfusion state, fusing viral and host membranes. The F0 precursor is typically cleaved by cellular proteases. Antibodies specific to the prefusion conformation are highly potent. An RSV F protein engineered to maintain a stable prefusion conformation and high expression levels represents a promising subunit vaccine candidate. |
