| Cat#: | THP-0540 |
| Product Name: | Recombinant RSV Post-fusion F-trimer Protein (strain A2) |
| Description: | Recombinant RSV (strain A2) Post-fusion F-trimer Protein is generated using a Mammalian expression system. The target gene encoding Gln26-Asn524 (with Phe137-Gly145 deletion) is expressed with a C-terminal 8His tag. |
| Molecular Weight: | 55.4 kDa |
| Introduction: | Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a major respiratory pathogen. The Fusion (F) glycoprotein is the principal target for neutralizing antibodies. F protein mediates membrane fusion through a conformational change from prefusion to postfusion states. The F0 precursor is processed by furin-like proteases. While both conformations share epitopes, prefusion-specific antibodies are more potent. Structural characterization of these states guides rational vaccine design. |
