| Cat#: | THP-0533 |
| Product Name: | Recombinant PRV gB Protein |
| Description: | Recombinant PRV (strain Becker) Envelope glycoprotein B is produced by a Mammalian expression system. The target gene encoding Ala59-Arg756 is expressed with a C-terminal 6His tag. |
| Molecular Weight: | 78.7 kDa |
| Introduction: | Pseudorabies virus (PRV), or suid alphaherpesvirus 1 (SuHV-1), belongs to the Varicellovirus genus (Alphaherpesvirinae). The envelope glycoprotein B (gB) is conserved across Herpesviridae and mediates viral envelope fusion with cellular membranes for entry and spread. Like other viral fusion proteins, PRV gB undergoes N-linked glycosylation, containing six consensus sites for this modification. |
