| Product Name: | Recombinant Influenza B (B/Victoria/504/2000) HA Protein |
| Description: | Recombinant Influenza B (B/Victoria/504/2000) HA Protein is generated using a Mammalian expression system. The target gene encoding Asp16-Tyr552 is expressed with a C-terminal 6His tag. |
| Molecular Weight: | 62.6 kDa |
| Introduction: | Hemagglutinin (HA) is a Class I viral fusion protein responsible for viral attachment to sialic acid-containing cell surface receptors. It facilitates viral entry into the cytoplasm by mediating fusion between the endocytosed virion membrane and the endosomal membrane. Low endosomal pH triggers an irreversible conformational change in the HA2 subunit, exposing the hydrophobic fusion peptide. Formation of a competent fusion pore requires the interaction of several HA trimers. |
