| Product Name: | Recombinant BRSV(strain BO/SWUN-2/21/CH) Prefusion F-trimer Protein |
| Description: | Recombinant BRSV (strain BO/SWUN-2/21/CH) prefusion F-trimer is produced by a Mammalian expression system. The target gene encoding Gln21-Leu508 is expressed with a C-terminal 8His tag. Mutations are introduced to stabilize the trimeric prefusion state of the BRSV Fusion glycoprotein. |
| Molecular Weight: | 55.2 kDa |
| Introduction: | Bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV), an enveloped, non-segmented, negative-stranded RNA virus of the order Mononegavirales, is a major cause of respiratory disease in cattle worldwide. The BRSV virion comprises a lipid envelope derived from the host plasma membrane containing three surface glycoproteins: the large glycoprotein G, the fusion protein F, and the small hydrophobic protein SH. The attachment (G) and fusion (F) proteins are the primary protective antigens. The F protein is a type I membrane-bound glycoprotein that mediates viral-host membrane fusion to initiate infection. Synthesized as a single F0 precursor polypeptide, it is post-translationally cleaved into two disulfide-linked subunits. |
