| Introduction: | Bovine parainfluenza virus type 3 (BPIV3) is a major respiratory pathogen in cattle of all ages. The Nucleocapsid protein (NP) is the most abundant viral protein and the primary regulator of viral replication and transcription. Research indicates that both the C-terminus and N-terminus of the NP protein possess high immunogenicity during BPIV3 infection, making them excellent targets for serodiagnosis. Recombinant immunodominant regions of BPIV3 NP have been successfully used in indirect ELISA assays for monitoring infection, proving to be sensitive, rapid, and reliable. |
