Avotermin, Recombinant human TGF beta 3/TGFB3 Protein
Avotermin is a type of protein, known as a cytokine, which is involved in cell differentiation, embryogenesis and development. It belongs to a large family of cytokines called the Transforming growth factor beta superfamily, which includes the TGF-β family, Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs), growth and differentiation factors (GDFs), inhibins and activins.

Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20°C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 2-8 °C for 1 week. Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20°C for 3 months.
Juvista has been investigated for the treatment, prevention, and basic science of Scars, Keloid, and Cicatrix.
